Materials we clean

Pressure-treated pine and cedar. Low pressure plus a wood cleaner, followed by a brightener to restore the natural color.
Composite decking (Trex and similar). Cleaned to remove mold spots and ground-in dirt without damaging the surface.
Vinyl fencing and railings. Soft washed to remove green algae and mildew.
Painted or stained wood. Cleaned gently to preserve the finish, or stripped if you're planning to re-stain.

The mistake we see most

A lot of decks around the Tri-Cities were cleaned once with a rented pressure washer held too close. That leaves fuzzy, splintered wood and lap marks that never go away. We use the least pressure that gets the job done and let the cleaner do the heavy lifting.

Planning to stain or seal?

Cleaning is the most important step in any staining job. Stain won't soak into wood covered in mildew, dirt and old sealer. After cleaning, wood usually needs a couple of dry days before stain or sealer goes on. We'll let you know when it's ready.

Will cleaning damage my wood deck?

Not with our method. We use low pressure and wood-specific cleaners, then a brightener, so the wood isn't scarred or furred.

How soon can I stain after cleaning?

Usually after a couple of dry days, depending on the weather and the wood. We'll give you a recommendation for your deck.

Do you clean composite decking?

Yes. Composite collects mold spots and dirt in its texture. We clean it with methods that are safe for composite surfaces.
